Greetings from the Principal of GDC Margubpur
Government Degree College Margubpur established in 2014 by the Government of Uttarakhand and affiliated with Sri Dev Suman Uttarakhand University Badshahi Thaul Tehri Garhwal Uttarakhand.
In the temple of learning built on land generously donated by farmers from the remote rural areas of Haridwar to support the education of their daughters, nearly 230 students are now pursuing higher education.
Our institution is committed to providing quality education that nurtures academic excellence, ethical values, and holistic personality development. We believe that education is not merely the acquisition of knowledge but the development of critical thinking, creativity, leadership, and social responsibility.
Our dedicated faculty members strive to create a supportive and intellectually stimulating environment where students are encouraged to explore their potential and achieve their goals. Along with academic excellence, we emphasize character building, discipline, innovation, research, community engagement, and the development of essential life skills.

Govt. Degree College, Margubpur, was started on September 10, 2014. It is situated 5.5 km away from national highway 58 in the assembly area Piran Kaliyar at the distance of 15.5 km from Roorkee Station and 26 Km from Haridwar Station. The campus is spread around 5000 sq. meter area. The building was constructed by Uttarakhand Govt. under the scheme MSDP with the cost of approx. 3.5 crore on the donated land by Husainiya Junior High School.
Govt. Degree College, Margubpur is an ideal example of Communal harmony and discipline. It respects all communal philosophies. This college is open to all students, therefore students of various caste, creeds, sections and religions are our main beneficiaries for last 07 years. We have respect for every religion in our routine practices as institutional philosophy.
It has a decent infrastructure covered under CCTV surveillance with fully-facilitated class room and seminar hall to provide a good platform for the proper grooming of the students and sharpen their communication skills

The minority students as well as the students from SC and ST category get the Scholarships and other socio economic benefits as per government norms.
Celebration of Birth and Commemoration Day
To develop notion of patriotism, we celebrate the commemoration day of our national heroes; like Lokamanya Tilak, Mahatma Gandhi, Lal Bahadur Shashtri and A P J Abdul Kalam as well as Dr. Baba Saheb Ambedkar, Syama Prasad Mukherjee etc. Though these leaders belong to different community; the students of all religions enthusiastically participate in these activities. We encourage students to express their thinking and wish to follow the principles of these national heroes. They offer their tribute to them.
